On 5 February 2016, the Czech Bar Association was authorized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Czech Republic to extrajudicially resolve consumer disputes when it comes to disputes between attorneys and consumers arising from agreements on provision of legal services (based on Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on consumer protection, as amended).

A consumer may contact the Czech Bar Association if there is a dispute between the consumer and the attorney which the parties are unable to resolve directly. The performance of the extrajudicial resolution of consumer disputes has been entrusted to the Conciliation Commission of the Czech Bar Association.
